Record: 1-0

Previous Ranking: 11 (Trend: — )

Last Week: Arkansas 34, Louisiana-Lafayette 14

This Week: vs. Samford

Next Week: vs. Southern Mississippi

More debuts for the SEC as Bret Bielema won his first game with the Razorbacks last weekend. Brandon Allen took over for the graduated Tyler Wilson by throwing three touchdowns and 230 yards. Sophomore Jonathan Williams rushed for 151 yards and freshman Alex Collins added 131 more.

There is a lot of talent on this teams, even though they went 4-8 last season. The problem right now is they are very young at several key positions. But if Bielema can coach them up quickly, they could end up being a sneaky good team this year.

Arkansas has Samford and Southern Mississippi at home and then Rutgers on the road before they start a four-game stretch against ranked teams. Arkansas could use the momentum from a 4-0 start heading into that stretch, and their schedule sets up well for it.
