Record: 1-0

Previous Ranking: 6 (Trend: Up)

Last Week: LSU 37, TCU 27

This Week: vs Alabama-Birmingham

Next Week: vs. Kent State

LSU got a big win in Dallas against TCU, and now look set up for a strong start to the season.

The Tigers got 448 total offensive yards against the Big 12’s best defense in the win. Terraence Magee’s 52-yard touchdown run highlighted a rushing attack that nearly totaled 200 yards.

LSU’s defense was good as always, even if TCU really isn’t that great of an offensive team. TCU starter Casey Pachall threw for just 75 yards before being pulled for Trevone Boykin. The Horned Frogs had just 145 yards in the air for the game.

The door is now open for LSU to be 4-0 heading into Athens, Georgia on September 28. A win there and the perception of the Tigers’ title chances may change.
