2. Oklahoma Sooners

Record: 1-0

Previous Rank: 2 (Trend: – )

Last Week: Defeated Louisiana-Monroe, 34-0

This Week: vs. West Virginia

Next Week: vs. Tulsa

Trevor Knight’s Sooners debut wasn’t particularly efficient in the air, but it was more than enough to cruise past Louisiana-Monroe. The question will be whether or not a 11-for-28 passing with more rushing yards (103) than passing yards (86) is a good enough when the competition improves.

The obvious answer is no.

Knight’s problems could be chalked up due to nerves – there seemed to be a lot of those going on around the Big 12 – but the freshman may be out of the starting job in favor of Blake Bell by halftime on Saturday if he does not turn things around quickly.

Until the offense gets sorted out, Oklahoma will ride their staunch defense to more wins.
