6) Owen Daniels, TE, Houston
If you are like me and don’t like to take tight ends until very late in the draft, Owen Daniels would be a great pick as your draft wraps up. Often times, I wait until the next to last round to select a tight end (kickers are always last), and a guy like Daniels is almost always available. He has caught over 50 passes for more than 600 yards four times in his career. Over the past couple of seasons, he seems to be Matt Schaub‘s choice as a possession receiver, so he has the opportunity to at least maintain his numbers. He doesn’t overwhelm anyone with huge stats but for a guy who will still be available very late, his consistency is worth having on your team.
