9) Marques Colston

How can the top receiver for the top passer not be on this list? He can’t. Colston, in his previous 7 seasons, has only been under 1,000 yards once (2008, missed 5 games due to injury) and has only caught less than 70 passes just once as well (2008). His numbers aren’t gaudy as some of the other receivers on this list but he has 58 career touchdowns. Also this season, some of the depth the Saints had a wide receiver has moved on, leaving just Colston, Lance Moore, who is very talented in his own right, and tight end Jimmy Graham as the only proven down field receivers. Quarterback Drew Brees loves to spread the wealth around but with fewer apparent weapons in 2013, look for Colston’s production to increase just a bit.
