Today is the NFL’s deadline for designating someone with a franchise tag. What will the Chiefs do? Tag Branden Albert? Tag Dwayne Bowe again? Dustin Colquitt is the dark-horse candidate. Today’s decision by general manager John Dorsey and head coach Andy Reid may end up being more important than the Alex Smith trade. The deadline is 3 p.m.

I’m telling you, the Royals will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever lose again. Ever. The Royals took out the Reds on Sunday to move to 9-0-1 this spring. Alex Gordon homered for the first time this spring. Mike Moustakas had two doubles and a RBI. Wade Davis went three scoreless innings, giving up two hits and no walks while striking out three.

No. 1 overall men’s basketball recruit Andrew Wiggins is in Lawrence for an official visit.

It is “Senior Night” at Allen Fieldhouse tonight. (Kansas plays Texas Tech.) In honor of the parting Senior class I present this tweet and photo from Rustin Dodd:

Darnell Green-Beckham, the younger brother of Dorial Green-Beckham, has committed to Missouri. DGB the Younger had the start of his high school career derailed when he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2011. He’s healthy now thankfully. Green-Beckham is in the class of 2014.

Two Kansas City area residents, ages 19 and 24, have created a smartphone app designed to test the knowledge and passion of fans called Fannect. Blair Kerkhoff of the Kansas City Star has a feature on the app’s creators.

In non-sports news:

“‘We need to hire a 22-22-22,’ one new-media manager was overheard saying recently, meaning a 22-year-old willing to work 22-hour days for $22,000 a year.”

Adele has re-uped with the James Bond people. The goal is to make her the next Shirley Bassey.

Heidi Klum will be a judge on the next season of America’s Got Talent. In other news, I will be watching “America’s Got Talent” this season.

Here is an Elijah Johnson dunk from his high school days:

I don’t think the runner ever touched home:
