Defensive Line

The defensive options might all lean towards the Chiefs (though secondary is tough), and the first is along the defensive line.

Kansas City’s is pretty darn good, even with backups in. We’ve seen rookie Chris Jones and Rakeem Nunez-Roches play pretty well up front, and that says a lot. Those two guys are filling in for Jaye Howard and Dontari Poe, two of the Chiefs’ best defensive players last year.

If it’s Ford and Houston both suiting up this week, then they easily get the advantage this week.

Watching this defensive line try and stop Freeman on the ground and get after Matt Ryan should be fun, and I’m giving them the edge in this game over the Falcons defensive line.

That Falcons offensive line is damn good, so it’s time for the Chiefs d-line to barrel their way through and sack the quarterback.

Oh, Tyson Jackson is on Atlanta’s defensive line, so that’s fun.

Advantage: Kansas City

Linebackers

We’re still unsure if Dee Ford will be back in action this weekend, but even if he isn’t, we saw that Justin Houston is juuuust fine. If it’s Ford and Houston both suiting up this week, then they easily get the advantage this week. If it’s Houston and Tamba Hali, then I’m still giving them the edge.

Short, but sweet.
