Kansas City Chiefs: Five Things To Watch Vs San Diego Chargers

The Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Diego Chargers this Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.  Here are five things for Chiefs fans to keep an eye on this week.

The Kansas City Chiefs kick off the 2016 NFL season this week at home against division opponent the San Diego Chargers.  The Chiefs are coming off of a strong 2015 season that saw the team score its first playoff win in 22 years.  The Chiefs getting that monkey off their backs has many in Chiefs Kingdom excited for this year.

Getting back to this week’s game, the Chiefs are favored to win with most analysts not even hesitating in their picks.  That includes FanSided’s football analysts, with the exception of one celebrity guest.  I have to concur with the common thinking on this week’s game as I think the Chiefs should win this game pretty handily.

Last season, the Chiefs defense flat out owned the Chargers.  That may not be the case this year, but Kansas City still looks to be the better team.  I am expecting the Chiefs offense to step up this week and put the pressure on San Diego.  That will allow the Chiefs defense to stay in attack mode and get aggressive.

However, there are some questions as to how this week’s game will play out.  As it is the beginning of the regular season, there are still some things we don’t know about this year’s team.  I’ve assembled the five things for Chiefs fans to keep an eye on this week.
