Week 9 of the 2014 NFL season is here, and that means it is time to take a look at those fantasy football lineups. This is my Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em article where I try to help you make some tough lineup decisions, whether that means starting a players that normally doesn’t start for your team, or benching a player that is normally in your starting lineup.

Here are my Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em picks from LAST week (some people in an article from a few weeks ago commented and told me that I was suggesting to start players that were on their bye week. This is obviously untrue. This first page of my article is simply going over my picks from last weeks article and analyzing how I did with my picks. To get to Week 9’s start/sit picks just go to the next slide of the article).

Last Week’s Start ‘Em

player. 60. . RB. Minnesota Vikings. Jerick McKinnon. 5

McKinnon is becoming one heck of a fantasy running back option in 2014. He has obviously won the starting job in Minnesota since Adrian Peterson has run into some legal issues. McKinnon continued his recent success in Week 8, getting 17 touches and a total of 83 yards.

4. player. 32. . WR. Arizona Cardinals. Larry Fitzgerald

Well it happened. Larry Fitzgerald finally went off. I got this one right big time as he ended the shootout against the Eagles with 22 fantasy points in standard leagues. I see him keeping this hot streak up in the coming weeks.

3. player. 47. . RB. New England Patriots. Shane Vereen

Shane Vereen sure cooled off in Week 8 after a great game the previous week. He only got 8 touches as rookie running back Jonas Gray shouldered the load for the Pats. A very disappointing performance as he ended with just 4 fantasy points.

Last Week’s Sit ‘Em

player. 87. . QB. Carolina Panthers. Cam Newton. 2

Newton struggled mightily as I expected against an angry Seattle Seahawks defense in Week 8. He was held without a TD for the first time this season and just got 4 points in standard leagues.

Bryce Brown. 1. player. 16. . RB. Buffalo Bills

So Bryce Brown was just a non-factor for the Bills in Week 8. He got just 7 touches and only 1 fantasy point. He should obviously be avoided in all leagues unless he makes a big-time comeback in the next few weeks.

Well I went 4/5 this week. Not bad. So without further adieu, here is my Week 9 fantasy Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em (next slide please).
