Number 2 Best Running Back in Chiefs History: Jamaal Charles

Stats With The Chiefs (before 2014 season):

  • 80 Games Played – and counting
  • 1,043 Attempts – and counting
  • 7,798 Yards From Scrimmage – and counting
  • 43 Total Touchdowns – and counting

When it’s all said and done, Jamaal Charles will finish as the Chiefs all time leading rusher. Last season, Charles moved into third place all time in team history and is only 200 yards away from becoming 1st. He could do that in one game.

He’s currently the NFL’s all time leader in yards per-carry with an average of 5.6. Charles is the only running back in team history to rush for 1,000 plus yards in 4 four seasons and he’s the only player in NFL history to score 4 receiving touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown in a single game. The best part is, he’s still in his prime.

Andy Reid turned Jamaal Charles into everything he’s meant to be as a running back, as Charles saw career highs in touchdowns (19) and receiving yards (693) and earned himself a spot in the league MVP discussion.

I can’t wait to watch him play some more and one day, he”ll be number one on this list.
