Kansas City Chiefs: My All-Time Chiefs Team

The Kansas City Chiefs have a rich history. One that is filled with Hall of Famers, Innovaters, and down right the meanest to ever play the game.

With the NFL draft now a thing of the past, I wanted to step outside of the box for a minute and build my all-time Kansas City Chiefs team. I’ve been pondering on this ever since I first started writing for KC Kingdom so this has been about a year in the making. I’ve thought long and hard about what QB I would choose, running backs, receivers etc.

I’ve broken each position up individually and I’ll only go two deep at each, including receiver and corner backs. A lot of tough decisions were made, but I think most of you will agree. To begin my all-time team, click “next” or use the arrow keys on your on your keyboard.

Holmes was an excellent RB but he did have the benefit of one of the best O-lines to ever play the game.

    • Josh Michaels

Agreed, but I’m partial. I idolized priest a ton when I was younger and will never forget the way he used to run the ball. When it’s all said and done, Charles will be the greatest chiefs running back which is why he should probably be my starter

So you’re saying you wouldn’t want Emmitt Smith then too because he also had a great Oline? Get real. You dont penalize a rb based on his oline. That’s ridiculous. Blaylock also ran behind the same line Holmes did. Where’s his numbers?

  • Joel Wagler

Outstanding stuff – but what about Jan Stenerud?

    • Josh Michaels

See, I knew I’d miss one. Is he still the only kicker in the pro football hall of fame?

  • Kevin Brown

Tyrer was a left tackle, and would be ahead of Alt and Roaf.

    • Josh Michaels

Yeah I realize, but I had to do a little shuffling just for arguments sake. Perhaps i should’ve flipped those around, but I remember John Alt and Willie Roaf so again, I’m partial to them and put them over on the left. Either way, it would be a good problem to have!
