The Chiefs now have 16 straight wins over the rival Broncos, pulling off a dominant 19-8 victory last night that wasn't as close as the score indicates.
Russell Wilson threw for only 95 yards with a pair of turnovers, while the offense overcame sloppy play to control the clock late to get a win. Tons of players deserve credit for an excellent all-around effort, but a few Chiefs stand above as most deserving.
Let's look at the three best players from Kansas City's Week 6 Thursday Night Football win against Denver.
3 Best Chiefs Players From Win vs. Broncos
1. Chris Jones
Turns out Chris Jones may not have demanded enough money in his holdout.
With a magnificent performance that included four tackles, a sack, a deflected pass, and THREE QB hits, Jones looked like the NFL's most dominant defensive player while dominating an overmatched Broncos' offensive line all night.
The attention he demands creates opportunities for his teammates as well, so it's no wonder the Chiefs sacked Wilson four times and added seven QB hits.
Chris Jones has 11 sacks in his last 9 games.

He also has 19 sacks in his last 16 games.
Absurd run. https://t.co/dWXskgh1jw
Sources say that's pretty, pretty good!
The Chiefs defense is allowing only 14.7 points per game through five weeks. That's the second-best mark in the league, trailing only the vaunted 49ers. Suddenly, Patrick Mahomes and the offense aren't the main driving force behind the AFC's best record.
Instead, it's the defense. Chris Jones is the beating heart of Steve Spagnuolo's unit and his importance becomes more obvious by the week.
At this point, I fully support signing Jones to a long-term extension following this season and I don't want to imagine the defense without him moving forward.
Jones isn't the only Chiefs' star that shined bright, though.
2. Travis Kelce
We spent all week worried if Kelce would play and if he did, how effective he'd be. Those concerns quickly proved unfounded.
With Taylor Swift in the house, Kelce was heavily involved from the jump, catching Patrick Mahomes' first two passes and even lateraling one on a designed trick play. It was easily Kelce's best statistical game of the season as he caught nine passes (on nine targets) for 124 yards, frequently serving as a safety valve when Mahomes was in trouble.

Kelce eclipsed 100 receiving yards in the first half for the second time in his career - the first also came against Denver. It was his sixth career 100-yard receiving game vs. the Broncos, tying him for the most all-time against the franchise.
After sloppy play in the red zone doomed two of the Chiefs' first three drives, it was Kelce who quickly caught two passes on the fourth drive to steady the offense to help set up a touchdown.
His value cannot be overstated for this team. As young receivers like Rashee Rice (who was fantastic) and Skyy Moore develop, Kelce's reliability becomes even more critical for a Kansas City team gunning for another No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Here's hoping he takes this extended break to rest up because his health is paramount to the Chiefs' ultimate goal.
Last but certainly not least, how about that kicker?
3. Harrison Butker
Have a day, Harrison!
Butker drained a season-high four field goals, including two from 50+ yards, and added a successful extra point in another clutch performance for a career littered with them.
This Harrison Butker kick would have been good for further than 60 yards! 😎 #ChiefsKingdom

That 60-yarder to end the first half was an incredible kick to steal some points, and Butker is now a perfect 14-14 on field goals for the season while nailing all 15 of his extra points as well.
Following a poor 2022 season by his standards, largely due to a nagging injury, Butker looks back to himself. Giving Patrick Mahomes one of the league's most dependable kickers on top of perhaps the best defense feels like cheating, but that's the Chiefs' reality right now.
We know that Mahomes can pick up yards in a flash. If he only needs to get to the 43-yard line or so to get within Butker's range, Kansas City becomes that much more difficult to defend.
At worst, Butker looks like one of the five best kickers in the sport. Everything is clicking for the Chiefs, so once the offense gets right? Look out.
