2. Will Chris Jones be ready to rock?

The defense held up admirably for most of the game last week, but Jones was sorrowfully missed late as the Lions’ stout offensive line helped drain the clock.

We haven’t seen Jones on the field since the Super Bowl and it’s fair to wonder if he’s in game shape. He insists he is, and the incentives on his contract mean he’ll want to be on the field as much as possible.

Even still, we’ve seen players without training camp or preseason work look rusty (hello Kadarius), but Jones is better than most.

Trevor Lawrence was sacked only twice last week, though the Colts did have a defensive touchdown. Trent McDuffie looked fantastic in Week 1 and he’ll be relied on to slow down Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk, and the bevy of talented receivers on the Jags’ sideline.

If the Chiefs win, the defense needs to put pressure on Lawrence and hopefully cause turnovers. The defensive line performed admirably last week and I’m excited to see if Mike Danna continues to impress.

It’ll be wonderful to see Jones on the field, but if he’s rusty then we’ll still be feeling the ramifications of his lengthy holdout.
