Kansas City Chiefs: 10 Dislikes and 10 Likes after Week 10 vs Titans

6. Kelce’s Day
He had seven receptions on seven targets for 75 yards and one touchdown, which came on a shovel pass. He had another touchdown reception called back.
What’s more, Kelce continues to provide a spark for the offense. Need a first down? Kelce. Need to gain a chunk of yards on a check-down? Kelce.

I’ve read others saying that perhaps the Chiefs should look into trading Kelce for defensive help. Maybe. I’m not entirely enamored with that idea. That would be taking away this offenses’ dynamic safety net. Sure, he’s aging, but what he provides to Mahomes and the offense–that’s irreplaceable.

7. Time of Possession
The Chiefs limited a team built around the run to only 22:09 of possession. Meanwhile, the Chiefs had the ball for 37:51. 99 times out of 100, that’s a key ingredient to winning.
8. The First Down Battle
Building off the time of possession, the Chiefs had 28 first downs against the Titans while the home team only garnered 19. Further, the Chiefs were 50% on third down (7 for 14) while the Titans only converted two third downs on eight attempts.
9. Kpassagnon’s Aggressiveness
Tanoh Kpassagnon recovered a fumble after Tannehill lost control of the football after getting sacked. It looked like Tannehill had immediately recovered the ball, but the whistle never blew.
An odd decision by the refs not to blow the play dead when Tannehill possessed the ball, but great awareness by K-Pass to keep playing and go for the ball.
10. Butker
Neither of the botched field goal attempts in the last two minutes of the game were the fault of Butker, who seems to have found his groove. Yes, he missed an extra point, but he nailed field goals of 30, 41, 43, and 39 yards. Before the blocked kick, he had made all eight of his attempts over the past two games.
When given the snap, and when given the time a kicker normally receives, Butker looks again to be one of the best kickers in the league.
