TRENDING DOWN

GEHRIG DIETER (WIDE RECEIVER)

Gehrig Dieter has been a fan favorite and close friend to star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. With a very talented and crowded wide receiver group, it is already going to be a challenge for any wide out to make this year’s squad.

With Dieter being out the past week and standing on the sideline during games, it will be easy for him to get passed up by other players working to make a name for themselves. The talent of Dieter is not being questioned, but him being off the field is dropping him down the snap chart.

D’MONTRE WADE (DEFENSIVE BACK)

D’Montre Wade has been a stand out player for the Chiefs all camp and putting him on the trending down list is not where I envisioned him after Saturday night’s game against the Bengals.

Wade was playing well for most the game until he caused himself to miss more snaps in a game where he would see the field for most of the game. During the third quarter of the game, the young cornerback got himself disqualified from the game with a targeting call when he led with his helmet on a pass play.

With short depth at corner on this Chiefs defense already, Wade will be looking to have a bounce back game next week. Expect Wade to start trending back up after learning from mistakes and learning better technique.
