Darrell Henderson, Memphis

Darrell Henderson perhaps is the most like former Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt than Henderson, the junior running back from Memphis. Few running backs have had the success that Henderson has had at Memphis. In his three seasons at Memphis, he rushed for 3,545 yards and 36 touchdowns while also nabbing 63 receptions during his three seasons.

A bowling ball with some speed, Henderson is tough to bring down and versatile. A true junior coming from the Conference USA ranks, Henderson projects to be a player that can have an immediate impact for whatever team drafts him. He has issues with pass protection and blocking, Strong back, but isn’t overly powerful in his lower body. Slippery runner with good size and ability to catch the ball.

Would be a nice fit for the Chiefs and would be a solid compliment with Williams as a running back. Will he be on the board when the Chiefs come up on the board in round 2? Remains to be seen. However, his name would be one to keep an eye on for the Chiefs if he’s on the board when their name comes up on the board the first time (or second round) in round two.
