If you are a K-State fan and you really want Snyder to stay into, and perhaps past the 2019 season, the Wildcats need to win as many games as possible, show that this is a program that perhaps has figured some things out and is ready to move forward.
However, if you believe changes need to be made, as a fan, and this is hard to say, you had better hope the Wildcats don’t qualify for a bowl game. Staying home this winter, as mentioned earlier, could very well be the finish needed to get changes made. Snyder has talked about wanting to stay on as long as he’s effective, and if the team isn’t winning, does he step away?
If a change is made, does that include Sean Snyder being named the head coach? That certainly sounds as if that idea has gone away.
"Snyder will turn 80 next season, and there remains a feeling that he’s going to hold onto the job until he can gift it to his son, Sean, which has long been his preference. That’s a no-go with current Kansas State administration, so Snyder continues to dig in and wait them out. The tide is beginning to turn on Snyder in Manhattan, as his actions are perceived to be increasingly selfish. He risks tarnishing his legacy by leaving the program off in worse shape than he got it back from Ron Prince. But Snyder cares little about opinions or outside noise. High potential for drama here in the next few months. – Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports"
It certainly appears, however, that if Snyder is going to dig in on his son being the next coach, things will certainly get interesting. When I discussed this very topic with Matt and John, neither believed Sean was a realistic candidate.
"I do not, no – Matt Hall, asked if he thinks Sean Snyder is a candidate to be Head Coach at K-State"
