Things won’t get any easier for Mizzou football, as this weekend they’ll travel down south to play the Alabama Crimson Tide.

More from Missouri Tigers

The Tigers have opened as a massive underdog to the Tide and after watching MU play against South Carolina, it’s understandable why no one has faith in them this weekend. Over their past two games, the Tigers beat themselves in their game against Georgia with turnovers and then lost to a backup quarterback in South Carolina.

Now, Mizzou has their toughest game all season against Alabama, and it’ll be a miracle if the Tigers can hang with the Crimson Tide in this one. If they lose, they’ll be 3-3 on the year, which would be a crushing blow after a 3-0 start to the season.

No one is talking about Drew Lock after this last game either, so hopefully he can jumpstart his Heisman stock again. Putting up good numbers against the Crimson Tide would do just that.

With the Tigers now at 3-2, it’d take a lot for them to reach the SEC Championship Game this year, so that is now a pipe dream. At this point, Missouri needs to push to be bowl eligible. That’s definitely still doable for the black and gold.
