START ‘EM – D/ST

13. . D/ST. Chargers. Chargers D/ST. 5. player

A smart play as far as your defense and special teams option goes would be to start whoever plays the Buffalo Bills every week because oh man, is that team awful or what? The Ravens ripped the Bills apart last week (47-3) and the Chargers have a chance to kill them even more.

Los Angeles’ defense and special teams didn’t have a great season opener, getting cooked by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, but I think it’s safe to say that the Bills will not be exposing that Bolts secondary the way that Mahomes was.

The Bills are giving rookie Josh Allen his first NFL start and that’s reason enough to roll with the Chargers here. When Allen and Nathan Peterman are the two quarterbacks expected to suit up against your defense, that’s a unit worth starting.

Don’t let that poor performance against the Chiefs fool you. Los Angeles’ defense is still a good unit.
