FIVE THINGS TO WATCH VS COLORADO

NUMBER 1 – EXPERIENCED QB VS INEXPERIENCED QB

One of the most exciting parts about the season getting underway was that Nebraska fans would FINALLY get to see Adrian Martinez taking snaps in a Huskers uniform. Now he’ll be making his Nebraska debut against a Colorado team that surrendered just 181 yards through the air last week.

On the other side of the field, Colorado quarterback Steven Montez had a tremendous day throwing the football. He only had three incompletions while throwing for 338 yards, four touchdowns, and getting picked off once. Montez also rushed for 34 yards and found the end zone once with his legs.

Martinez is a true freshman and it’s going to be a much tougher battle for him versus these Buffs than it would have been against the Zips last weekend. The Buffs having the more experienced quarterback could lead to them taking an early game lead and Nebraska taking a little longer to get things figured out offensively.
