FIVE THINGS TO WATCH VS COLORADO

NUMBER 2 – BLACK SHIRTS HAVE TO FIND AN ANSWER FOR SHENAULT

When looking at Colorado’s offensive numbers from their first game, the biggest player that stood out was wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. Shenault had an incredible day for the Buffs, hauling in 11 catches for 211 yards and one touchdown.

Colorado State’s defense probably isn’t quite up to par to what Nebraska’s could look like, but it’s safe to say Shenault is going to be tough for the Cornhuskers to stop. He had a really good day against the Rams, but Colorado also saw great performances from K.D. Nixon (six catches for 112 yards and a touchdown) and Travon McMillian (ten carries for 103 yards and one touchdown).

Nebraska is going to have their work cut out for them when it comes to stopping the Buffs, but limiting Shenault is key. If they can figure out a way to limit his production, Nebraska has a chance to compete in this one.

If Shenault goes for over 200 yards again, it’s probably a good bet that the Cornhusker will not be defeating Colorado.
