SIT ‘EM – QB

Quarterback. 49ers. Jimmy Garoppolo. 1. player. 42.

Jimmy Garoppolo turned the San Francisco 49ers around last season. So why then, should fantasy owners keep him on the bench this weekend? Well, that’s easy.

Garoppolo’s Niners will be taking a trip to Minnesota to play the Vikings. That Vikings defense was incredible last year and while it’s a new year, Minnesota didn’t lose any key defensive players, so they’ll be looking to wreck opposing offenses again in 2018.

Jimmy Garoppolo looked great last season, but he’s not worth starting in week one of the season, especially if you have depth. He has a TOUGH match-up and we’re still not entirely sure of what kind of player Jimmy G really is.

If you play in a small league where quarterbacks are more plentiful, go with your other option this weekend because Garoppolo putting up a lot of points against the Vikings might be a bit too much to ask for.
