START ‘EM – D/ST

Titans. Tennessee Defense/ST. 5. player. 35. . D/ST

This is a more “out there” pick, but defense and special teams can always be one of the tougher areas to field on your team, at least on a weekly basis. The NFL is turning into a more offensive league, meaning if you don’t have one of the best defenses in the league, the position could become more of a liability than anything else.

The Titans defense and special teams is worth starting this week. For one, they were an underrated unit last year and only improved over the offseason, adding Malcolm Butler and Bennie Logan to their ranks.

Another reason to throw the Titans defense into that starting spot is that they’ll be facing a questionable Miami Dolphins offense. Ryan Tannehill is back under center for the first time since 2016, meaning there will be kinks to work out there for the Dolphins.

I expect the Titans to give Tannehill and the rest of the Dolphins a tough time this weekend. They’re worth picking up and even giving a start in week one.
