START ‘EM – WR

player. 15. . Wide Receiver. Saints. Ted Ginn. 3

This might be one of my riskier Start ‘Em suggestions this week, but when Drew Brees is the quarterback throwing to the risky pick, I feel pretty good about it. Brees is good about getting all of his receivers involved and that’s why Tedd Ginn Jr. is a solid flex option for week one.

Ginn and newcomer Cameron Meredith will be battling for targets in week one, but both will have their fair share of opportunities. The Saints host Tampa Bay in their season opener and the Bucs’ passing defense is AWFUL.

Ginn might have to compete with other targets, but I like his odds at getting the ball frequently against the Buccaneers. Like I said, this is a riskier pick for the weekend considering Ginn isn’t the top option in New Orleans, but he and Brees had chemistry last year. The two combined for 787 yards and four touchdowns in Ginn’s inaugural season with the Saints.

The Saints will be on cruise control in their season opener and that should make every Saints offensive player a must start in week one.
