FANTASY FOOTBALL ROOKIES TO TARGET: NUMBER 13 – JAMES WASHINGTON

The Pittsburgh Steelers found themselves a legitimate pass-catching weapon in James Washington and he’ll join his former quarterback Mason Rudolph in the Steel City. Rudolph won’t be the starter (unless Ben Roethlisberger gets hurt), but that won’t limit Washington’s production.

The only issue with James Washington is that he’s, at best, third on the depth chart, sitting behind Antonio Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Both of those guys are insanely talented and will take targets away from Washington.

Still, we’re looking at a guy who lit it up at Oklahoma State over the last three years. He had over 1,500 yards as a senior in 2017 and found the end zone 13 times. The Steelers won’t get that type of production out of him in year one, but Washington has Roethlisberger as his quarterback and we all know how good Big Ben is at spreading the football around.

Like the other two entries, look for James Washington late in the draft. He’ll be a solid bench player for the season and should provide you with a couple of top-notch performances as a rookie.
