#9 Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed

Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed is another player similar to Tyler Eifert in Cincinnati. While he has all the talent in the world, he has yet to play for a full season. Last season he was only on the field for four games. The Redskins also had likely the worst injury ridden season of the entire NFL in 2017.

Coming into 2018, it’s a new atmosphere in Washington. Instead of doing the contract dance with quarterback Kirk Cousins, the Redskins finally have a longterm plan under center with former Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith.

Bringing in Smith will only bolster Reed’s stock as Smith tends to heavily rely on the tight end position for his security blanket. Washington has some question marks at wide receiver with some upside, but not much-proven talent giving Reed and Smith more chances to connect.

If Reed is on the field, I expect him to have a solid 2018 season with Alex Smith throwing to him. Like Eifert, Reed had a spectacular season with 87 receptions for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns. Unfortunately, that season is quickly being forgotten about considering he hasn’t been on the field. It should be a make or break season for Reed and the Redskins.
