#11 Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert

Tyler Eifert is unquestionably one of the best tight ends in the league. The problem is he can’t stay healthy. Since being drafted in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Eifert has only played in 39 of 80 games. Over the past two seasons, Eifert has only played ten games.

Over the offseason, Cincinnati signed Eifert to a one-year incentive deal. Eifert hopes to return to his dominant form from 2015 when he logged 615 yards and 13 touchdowns in just 13 games before being injured. With everything to play for, Eifert could be a great steal in the later portion of the draft.

Given that he’s injury prone, Eifert should be drafted as a backup tight end. Feel free to start Eifert while he is healthy, but having another strong tight end is a must considering he will most likely be injured once again. As a backup, Eifert shows nothing but upside for any fantasy team.

The Bengals will also be deploying a new look to their offense in 2018. With some significant turnaround in coaching, it looks like offensive coordinator Bill Lazor looks to spread out the offense in 2018. If Eifert is healthy, he’s a top-tier tight end that you can benefit from if you grab him as your backup.
