Fantasy Football Top 10 D/ST

#7 Houston Texans

Everything is bigger in Texas, and so are the expectations. By all rights, Houston should have a top three fantasy defense. Injuries have plagued this team for a couple years now, which as a fantasy owner, that scares you.

The Texans are hit and miss, and they probably get more attention than is deserved. That happens when JJ Watt plays for you. Watt is back, and so is Whitney Mercilus. The Texans were a top 5 defense for fantasy owners before they both went down.

2017 ranking: 26th

Those two plus Clowney, McKinney, Colvin and Tyrann Mathieu make for a pretty solid defense on paper. Year after year the Texans have been a top 10 defense, last year shouldn’t scare owners off too much.
