SIT ‘EM

35. . Running Back. Titans. Demarco Murray. 1. player

Remember when DeMarco Murray was one of the best running backs in the league last year? This year, he doesn’t seem to have it as much. He did find the end zone twice last week, but that was probably the best game he had since week three.

Murray got the touches in the red zone, but otherwise, Derrick Henry and Marcus Mariota both rushed for more yards than he did against the Bengals. The Steelers held Indianapolis’ running backs to just 71 yards on the day, which is troubling for the Titans.

Derrick Henry isn’t someone I’d go with here either, as he gets less carries than Murray and less opportunities in the red zone. The fact that the Titans have a running back by committee and Murray hasn’t been impressing nearly as much this season makes me skeptical of playing him in a big primetime match-up.

The Steelers have been pretty good at stopping the run as of late, so I’d keep DeMarco Murray (and Derrick Henry for that matter) on the bench for Thursday night’s game.
