Fantasy Football 2017: Thursday Night Football Start Em, Sit Em Week 7
SIT ‘EM
Speaking of overhyped, has anyone been more disappointing this year than Derek Carr? The former Fresno State standout hasn’t been quite himself this season and has already missed time due to injury.
Last week Carr returned from an injury that was supposed to sideline him two to six weeks and he was not very good. He finished the day with just 171 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
Carr’s performance this season is reason enough to bench him this week, but the big picture here is how poorly he’s played against the Chiefs in his career. Carr is 1-5 against Kansas City and has lost five straight games.
Not only does he have a significant losing record to KC, but he’s been a big part of why the Raiders have lost those games. Hell, the Chiefs pretty much singlehandedly ruined Carr’s chances at winning league MVP last year.
Simply put – I wouldn’t trust Derek Carr to start for your fantasy football team until he has shown he’s bounced back from his poor start and injury. Starting him against a team he’s struggled against would be downright stupid, especially if you have other options.
