Fantasy Football 2017: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 6
SIT ‘EM
The most important thing to consider with Derek Carr this week is that he still could be kept out and E.J. Manuel could get the start instead. Even if Carr does play, however, he’s not a good start option for your fantasy football team.
The Los Angeles Chargers may not be a great team, but they have done well at preventing opposing quarterbacks from having big games. In each of their five games so far this season, the Bolts have limited quarterbacks to 16 points or less per Michael Fabiano of NFL.com.
Carr has struggled in his last two starts as it is, so is it worth the risk? He hasn’t played since that week four game in Denver and before that, the Raiders quarterback was looking like a shell of his 2016 self.
If you have another option at quarterback, it’s probably a good idea to slot that guy in for this week’s game. Carr probably won’t put up many points this week.
