#2 Charcandrick West Sticks With The Second Team
When the Kansas City Chiefs signed CJ Spiller and drafted Kareem Hunt, many people felt that was the end of the line for Charcandrick West. However, the young running back has somehow managed to hold onto his job as the top backup to Spencer Ware for now.
This is really surprising when you consider that Charcandrick West is coming off a down year and hasn’t been a huge factor in camp so far. Meanwhile, Kareem Hunt has looked solid and CJ Spiller has been impressive early on. So perhaps there is something else going on that we don’t know about yet.
Of course, this could just be a chance for the Chiefs to showcase Charcandrick West a little bit as an attempt to make a trade. Teams tend to try that early in preseason to entice offers. There is no doubt that Kansas City has a pretty loaded backfield right now, so doing something like that to make room would make a lot of sense.
