Christian Okoye – Chiefs: “The Nigerian Nightmare”
When the Kansas City Chiefs brought Christian Okoye to the field, he was unlike anything seen before. A man that large was not supposed to move that fast or have that kind of agility. It made the “Nightmare” part of his nickname every bit as obvious as the “Nigerian” part.
Christian Okoye’s dominant (though short) stretch in the NFL was one of the crowning achievements of the Marty Schottenheimer era. Behind Okoye, the Chiefs offense was simply able to overpower their opponents, while the defense shut everyone down. It was the recipe for some of the best years of KC football.
He caused nightmares for opposing defenses.

Of course, you younger folks probably best know Christian Okoye from his Tecmo Super Bowl video. It may have been an exaggeration of his talents…but not by much. To this day, Okoye remains one of the most beloved players in Chiefs history.
