Chiefs Top Raider Week Moments No. 10: Brandon Flowers Owns The Black Hole
October 23, 2011
Cornerback Brandon Flowers forever endeared himself to Kansas City Chiefs fans when he did this to the Oakland Raiders. In the midst of a defensive shutdown of all things black and silver, Flowers found time to have a little bit of fun with the distraught “Black Hole”. Flowers, after returning an interception for a touchdown, put the ball on the ground with one foot on top and flexed for the crowd.
The response was about what you would imagine.
For Chiefs fans, there was nothing better. Despite a lackluster season during the now-infamous Pioli era, this single moment of levity brought Chiefs Kingdom back to life. Hey, at least we weren’t the Raiders! This game would end with six interceptions for the Chiefs against the Raiders quarterbacks. It was a good day.
