2016 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks: Number Five – Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals

Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals are putting all their eggs in a two-year Super Bowl window…and you should too. Palmer has never been the top name in Fantasy Football, yet he always delivers as one of the league’s best.  His big arm means that every play has the potential to be huge, and he has the receiving weapons to complete that picture.

A Dynamic Passing Offense: Larry Fitzgerald might be the third best receiver on this team.  No, let me say that again…Larry Fitzgerald might be the third best receiver on this team.  I mean…what else can be said?  Larry Fitzgerald might be the third best receiver on this team.

Can Palmer Avoid The Pressure? The Cardinals have struggled in protecting their quarterbacks over the past several years.  They showed a huge improvement in 2015, but there is always the potential that was a fluke.  To make things worse, Michaelangelo probably carved statues that were more mobile than Palmer is.

Draft Value – 4th Round: The run on quarterbacks generally begins in the fourth round, and Palmer should be one of the first off the board when that happens.  That may actually hurt his value for some owners looking to add another receiver or back early on.  If you’re picking in the middle or end of the round though, don’t overthink this.  The value is there.
