We are just days away from seeing the Kansas City Chiefs back on the field. The next couple of practices will likely be relatively light as the team focuses on staying healthy before the coaches get their first look at the players in live action.
One area of interest this week is going to be the quarterback position. Nick Foles got the bulk of the snaps with the 2nd team while Tyler Bray didn’t get any until late in the practice session. Does this mean anything? Only time will tell.
On the injury front, the whole team (except for those in a special roster status) was on the field today. Albert Wilson and Josh Mauga both made their returns after missing several days, though of the two Wilson certainly had the bigger day. The lack of injuries is a good sign as the team moves towards the season. Staying healthy could be key to their success.
The Chiefs are off tomorrow, but will be back on the field on Wednesday. We’re close Chiefs Kingdom…so very, very close. Don’t expect many changes before the preseason opener. That is what will determine what changes the coaching staff makes. The suspense is killing me.
