Kansas City Chiefs

Call me biased, but the KC Chiefs have the best shot at winning the division in 2016. The Broncos had a setback this offseason, the Raiders aren’t QUITE at the point of hardcore contention yet, and the Chargers just don’t have the defense to compete with the rest of the teams.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are the most consistent team in the division. They went 11-5 last year, won a playoff game, and showed that they’re absolutely a team that can contend for a Super Bowl in 2016.

We’re in year four of the Andy Reid/Alex Smith Project, and fans are expecting the pieces to finally fall into place. Smith had the best year of his career last season and hopefully he can build on it.

The Chiefs also have Jamaal Charles, Travis Kelce, and Jeremy Maclin on offense as their major playmakers. These weapons should only help Smith achieve greatness.

The defense really only lost Sean Smith, but also saw Husain Abdullah retire as well, putting their secondary in a little bit of a bind.

All in all though, the Kansas City Chiefs should be the ones standing atop the AFC West at the end of the 2016 regular season.
