Moustakas will look to build off of a breakout campaign in 2015. He’s got the power to be great, and he added a new element to his game last season. He enjoyed his success and isn’t likely to fall into old bad habits.
Moustakas had around two-thirds of his base hits last season going either up the middle or to the opposite field. Not only is he likely to become a dead pull hitter again, he could actually improve upon last season’s success.
Last year, Moustakas came into the season having worked on his new approach for only a few months. Now he’s had two full off-seasons of work to go along with a full season of putting his new game plan into practice.
