Three: Moustakas gets hit to right field. Forgot how to hit to opposite field.

This tweet doesn’t imply that Mike Moustakas has forgotten how to hit to the opposite field. In fact, he’s vowed to keep hitting the other way.

  • Moustakas will look to build off of a breakout campaign in 2015. He’s got the power to be great, and he added a new element to his game last season. He enjoyed his success and isn’t likely to fall into old bad habits.

Moustakas had around two-thirds of his base hits last season going either up the middle or to the opposite field. Not only is he likely to become a dead pull hitter again, he could actually improve upon last season’s success.

Last year, Moustakas came into the season having worked on his new approach for only a few months. Now he’s had two full off-seasons of work to go along with a full season of putting his new game plan into practice.
