How will the Royals avoid a Phillies-like predicament?

The Royals won’t become the Phillies because after trading five pitching prospects in 2015 there is no way that Dayton Moore will continue to mortgage the Royals future unless it is very low end prospects.

The Royals will have two years to consider which of the 2017 free agents they want to retain. Meanwhile, they will spend those two years rebuilding the farm system to replace the aging core players that have remained on the roster.

More from KC Kingdom

The Royals need to find out what they have in a lot of the prospects they have drafted over the past years. Patience is key, but some prospects such as Bubba Starling and Kyle Zimmer look ready to reward the Royals for their patience. Those players coupled with future drafts bringing in new talent, give the KC Royals chances to find future stars.

There will be struggles in the future. But if the fans stay true and loyal with their support of the Royals then they will overcome these struggles and continue to succeed as they have these past couple of years. That mutual relationship is key.

That is how dynasties are built.
