Start ‘Em
Trent Richardson has been again disappointing this season for the most part in fantasy football falling in the shadow of Ahmad Bradshaw who flourished in the Colts offense until he got hurt again and placed on IR. Richardson still hasn’t gotten it going with the increased workload, and owners probably aren’t even thinking about starting him.
So why start him?
He recently made some comments about some criticism that he’s gotten lately and I think it might spark something that we haven’t seen from Richardson since his rookie year in Cleveland. He said, “A lot of people are saying I’m a mistake,” Richardson told the Akron Beacon Journal. “What I’m telling folks now is watch the next four weeks.” It sounds like he is ready to prove some people wrong and fantasy owners should be excited to see the outcome.
Richardson and the Colts go up against the Browns, which is a decent matchup overall for T-Rich, and I think he may have a breakout game with his new motivation leading him.
In such a crucial time in the fantasy season, owners may be skeptical to play him at all, but I would give him a chance if you have a tough call between him and another player.
Consider him a good flex play this week against the Browns.
