Fantasy Football Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em: Week 13

Start ‘Em #1
Tre Mason has come onto the Rams squad and really taken over their rushing offense. He outperformed Benny Cunningham and last year’s breakout back Zac Stacy. Stacy has become nothing more than an afterthought since Mason’s emergence.
Since Week 7, Mason has been the Rams main running back in what started as a committee and ended with Mason ultimately winning the job. This being said, he has only broken 10 fantasy points in standard leagues just twice and that should have his owners concerned.
Even though he is not producing like some think he should be with the amount of carries he is getting, owners need to remember that he is a rookie, and not all rookies can start their careers hot like Andrew Luck or Robert Griffin III. Give Mason some time, and I think he can prove to be one of the best backs in the 2014 rookie class.
This week, Mason and the Rams take on the Oakland Raiders who are coming off of their first win against the Chiefs last Thursday. I see Mason having a big day. While the Chiefs did give the Raiders a win, running back Jamaal Charles still had a big day, and I could see something similar happening to Mason and the Rams this week.
If you have space in your lineup, don’t be afraid to give him a look this week.
Consider him a solid flex play and a decent #2 RB this week.
