Mark Ingram is quickly becoming a fantasy stud, scoring over 23 points the last two weeks in PPR leagues. The Saints are feeding him the rock (54 carries) since he got the full time start against the Green Bay Packers two weeks ago.
When the Saints give Ingram the ball at least ten times in a game, which has happened five times this season, he’s scored a touchdown and finished in double digits in fantasy points.
The biggest question going into his match-up this week against the 49’ers is if Patrick Willis will play. If Willis is a go, San Francisco’s defense is undoubtedly stronger, as they’ve only allowed two running backs to go over double digits on them in fantasy this season (Demarco Murray week 1, Ronnie Hillman week 7).
To counter that though is the fact that when the Saints give Ingram the ball at least ten times in a game, which has happened five times this season, he’s scored a touchdown and finished in double digits in fantasy points.
I really like Ingram in the dome this weekend and he should be an undoubted starter. I know he has a big red “Q” next his name this week but nothing to worry about, as Pierre Thomas and Khiry Robinson are both still injured.
Ingram will go over 20 carries this week, bet on it.
