Travis Kelce may be the league’s next big-time tight end. Kelce has really emerged this season as one of the Chiefs top targets and deep threats. Head coach Andy Reid and QB Alex Smith are finding more and more ways to get him the ball.
Kelce has taken over for Anthony Fasano as the Chiefs main, starting tight end, and he has succeeded. So far this season Kelce has put up 259 yards and 2 TDs and looks to continue his 2 game touchdown streak in Week 5 against the 49ers.
Travis Kelce may be the league’s next big-time tight end.
The San Francisco 49ers present a tough matchup overall for the Chiefs, but I think it bodes well for the second year tight end. The 49ers run D is elite and it may cause Alex Smith and co. to go to the passing attack more often.
I see Kelce continuing his touchdown streak in Week 5, and he should be able to get a bunch of targets and hopefully catches. I would start him unless you have a top-3 guy.
Consider him a solid TE start for Week 5.
