KICK RETURNING: Chiefs had the best kick off return team, bar none, in the the NFL. They averaged 29.9 yards per return, 3.5 yards more than the next best mark. In the NFL this season, 7 kicks were returned for touchdowns, and the Chiefs had 2 of them.

Individually, Quintin Demps was third in the the league with 30.9 average and a score, and Knile Davis averaged 32.1 per return, plus a touchdown, but his 10 attempts did not qualify him for the league leaders.

These two players did a great job shortening the field for the offense.

GRADE: A+

PUNT RETURNING: The Chiefs came in 6th in the league with an 11.8 average on punt returns, and this was all Dexter McCluster. No one else return any punt for Kansas City.

Individually, McCluster was 7th in average but he had 2 touchdown returns to lead the league. Nine players around the league had 1 touchdown.

McCluster deserved to make the Pro Bowl as a returner, and a case could be made that Demps was deserving as well. The return teams for the Chiefs were fantastic all year, and not enough can be said about how well they performed.
