7. Mississippi Rebels
Record: 3-3 (0-2)
Previous Ranking: 9
Last Week: Ole Miss 27, LSU 24
This Week: vs Idaho
Next Week: Bye
Well that was unexpected.
Ole Miss got the win they needed to prove their worth in the SEC and their status as an up and coming program. With Idaho, Arkansas, and Troy filling out their schedule for the next four weeks, the Rebels should be 7-3 heading into their home tilt against Missouri. Beat Missouri and Mississippi State to end the season and they will find themselves in a really nice bowl over the holiday season.
Whether or not Ole Miss can beat Missouri is a question we will tackle in a month, but the LSU victory certainly gives them a confidence that they can beat anybody, especially at home.
