Last Week: Vanderbilt 31, Georgia 27

This Week: at 16 Texas A&M

Next Week: Bye

Man, how needed was that win? Staring down the barrel of a 0-6 start in the SEC, Vanderbilt pulled off the upset they needed to keep them in bowl contention.

Vandy still has three tough SEC games remaining with Texas A&M, Florida, and Tennessee on the road, but they do have Kentucky and Wake Forest at home. Win those two games at home and they will be bowl eligible.

Getting those two wins without starting quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels, who was injured in the second quarter of the win against Georgia. Backup freshman Patton Robinette led Vandy to 17 points in the fourth quarter of the Commodores win but he is, well, a freshman. How well will that play out against a team like A&M or Florida?

No matter who starts, Vandy should be able to beat Kentucky and Wake Forest. Any win after that would be icing on the Bowl Game cake.
