The Kansas City Chiefs face a difficult choice regarding their Injured Reserve list. Only one player can return, so KC has to choose between Jamaal Charles and Justin March.

As the Kansas City Chiefs close in on the end of the 2016 season and a likely playoff spot, the team faces a tough decision. After a season where Kansas City has been hit hard by the injury bug, the team now has an option to bring someone back from Injured Reserve (IR). However, the question as to who should return is a big one. The primary candidates are Jamaal Charles and Justin March.

A little more than a week ago, this was a simple decision. The Chiefs were primed for the return of Jamaal Charles and Chiefs Kingdom was ready for it. However, since then KC has suffered a major setback. Star linebacker, and defensive captain, Derrick Johnson was lost for the season with a ruptured Achilles.

With Derrick Johnson out for the rest of the year, there is a very big question as to what the Chiefs will do at inside linebacker. That question is especially important because the Chiefs already have Josh Mauga and Justin March on IR. However, therein may lie the answer. Andy Reid has already confirmed that the team will consider bringing back Justin March from IR.

What was once a simple decision is now one worthy of much more thought. This could be a turning point on the Chiefs playoff results. Kansas City could use the help that either player would provide. However, measuring which player would give the biggest boost to the roster is very much in question.
