The Kansas City Chiefs head to Denver this week to take on the defending champion Broncos. Here are the five things for Chiefs fans to watch for.

After a tough loss at home last week, the Kansas City Chiefs are on the road to Denver to take on the Broncos. This week’s match up is a critical game for both teams as they trail the Oakland Raiders in the AFC West. Neither team can afford to lose ground as both need some homefield advantage in the postseason.

At 7-3, the Kansas City Chiefs control their own destiny. As long as the Chiefs win, they will remain in a strong position. That is especially true in their division games. The key to the Chiefs success comes in winning their remaining four division match ups. Kansas City can reclaim their position on top of the AFC West and return to the playoffs by getting wins in those games.

If the Chiefs are to get back on top, they have to play better than we have seen in recent weeks. It has been several weeks since Kansas City has been able to thoroughly outplay an opponent. That doesn’t seem a likely outcome against a quality Denver team, however that is what the Chiefs did the last time the two teams met.

The Chiefs also need to get healthy. It seems that each week has added another big name to the injury report. This week isn’t looking much different right now. The test of a team is how strong their depth chart is. The Chiefs depth has been tested, and has largely answered the call. However, that test looks to continue this week.

Here are the five things to watch when the Chiefs take on the Broncos.
