The KC Chiefs will welcome in the New Orleans Saints to Arrowhead Stadium this Sunday. Who holds the advantages at each position?

The Kansas City Chiefs will see their first NFC opponent of the year and it’ll come in the form of the New Orleans Saints.

The last time these two teams played was in an entirely different era of Kansas City Chiefs football. Romeo Crennel was the head coach, Scott Pioli was the general manager, and Matt Cassel was still the starting quarterback four years ago.

Somehow, the Chiefs won that game in 2012, but it came in overtime and was one of two victories that Kansas City had that season. I don’t know about you guys, but I certainly don’t miss those days.

New Orleans is close to the same team they were back then though. They have the same quarterback in Drew Brees and the same head coach in Sean Payton. These two guys bought the Saints their first ever Super Bowl title in the 2009 season, and it was a magical ride for everyone down in the Big Easy.

Since then, however, the Saints have only made it to the playoffs twice and haven’t gone any further than the NFC Divisional round. Brees has always been clutch, but the defense has lacked any type of strength and that’s been New Orleans’ downfall.

So, let’s take a look at the positions and which team has the advantage.
