The Kansas City Chiefs put a beating on the New York Jets this week.  With such a dominant performance, the takes were certainly heating up the internet.  Here are some of the best from Sunday.

The Kansas City Chiefs embarrassed the New York Jets this week as the KC defense recorded eight turnovers.  The Jets seemed to have absolutely no answer for the Chiefs defense, and there will be some heat on the team’s leadership to replace quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.  After throwing six interceptions, that is to be expected.  However, New York won’t be alone in their hot takes.  Even a victorious Kansas City is going to have some exaggerations for us to enjoy.

For those of you who don’t know, a “hot take” is a large generalization or overreaction based on limited information.  Sports are one of the preeminent targets for hot takes, and the NFL especially.  Fans, analysts, and media talking heads can’t wait to weigh in on the big topics.  That, of course, leads to an awful lot of bad opinions being thrown across the internet.

Yes, you see them everywhere.  A big name player signs with a team, and suddenly they are Super Bowl favorites.  A quarterback throws an interception, and now he’s the worst to ever play the game.  Defense gives up a touchdown?  They can’t stop anybody.

Sunday was an exciting game, and it didn’t feel as though the Chiefs had it put away until close to the end.  That means there was plenty of time for fans to get their takes out there.  When you have an uncomfortable lead, that is often one of the best times to get some hot takes.

So let’s take a look at some of the best hot takes from this past Sunday.  I’m not going to embarrass anyone directly.  However, I will be using actual quotes from Twitter regarding the game.  If you recognize your handiwork, or that of someone else, don’t worry the secret is safe with me.  Just remember that I’m watching…
